Booking and Payments
At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit of 35% is required for confirmation of booking. The remaining amount will be due 45 days prior to commencement of service. All reservations made within the 45 day period before departure will require full payment on confirmation of the booking. African-Abstracts reserve the right to cancel any reservations and services should full payment not be received within the 45 days prior to arrival.
In the event of African-Abstracts holding a reservation with no means of guarantee, such as a deposit, the reservation may be cancelled on notice to the traveller to accommodate other bookings.
Cancellations made during the following periods will be liable for the following penalties:

0% refund of full 100% paid out to African-Abstracts including any third-party costs
0% Refund of deposit
Method of Payment
All payments should be made by electronic transfer directly into the account of African-Abstracts Marketing Ventures and Safaris, details of bank account will be found at the bottom of our invoices.
All foreign transactions will incur extra handling fees over and above the bank’s usual exchange rate, which will be charged to your account by your bank.
Health and Visa Requirements
It is the responsibility of all travellers to ensure that they are informed of the health regulations and visa requirements for travel to Southern Africa. Travellers should contact their local health professional or Travel Clinic for advice on these requirements.
It is of utmost importance that travellers check out visa requirements before the intended date of travel and ensure that these are issued in advance. African-Abstracts cannot be held responsible should the visa requirements not be fulfilled. Incorrect visas will cause delays when entering countries or when crossing borders.
Travellers must take out comprehensive travel insurance covering personal accident, personal effects, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation and curtailment.
Air and Road Travel
African-Abstracts will not be responsible for the booking of flights to/from SA and these should be arranged directly with the traveller’s local travel agent .
Should African-Abstracts reserve flight tickets, the air fare will be quoted as current and subject to availability in the class quoted at time of the enquiry. Fares are also subject to change without prior notice should the airline impose an increase in rates and/or airport taxes. Please note that fares may fluctuate at time of confirmation of the booking, time of payment and the ticket being issued. Tickets will not be issued until full payment is received.
African-Abstracts cannot be held liable for cancellation of flights, changes in scheduled flight timetables and for missed connections on scheduled flights. Any costs incurred through the amendment of flight routings and itineraries, will be billed to the travellers account.
The rates quoted are subject to change without prior notice should there be any increases in third-party services, accommodation levies, transport and fuel fees and VAT or any other circumstances beyond our control in the countries featured in our quotes/bookings.
We recommend that your passport has at least two blank pages for every country visited. We also advise that your passport be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your date of travel.
Travellers on any adventure excursions, tours and incentives do so voluntarily and acknowledge that neither African-Abstracts Marketing Ventures cc its members, the organizers of the events, nor any of the servants, agents, contractors, employees, participants, will be liable for any loss, damage or injury to any person, juristic person, or any third party concerned, however caused, arising out of participating in this event or transfer, in whatever way, in and outside the borders of the Republic of South Africa.
